This week has been a tough week. We were told a couple of weeks ago that we would have to change all student passwords to randomized passwords that are not tied to their student ID numbers. It is one of my responsibilities to handle all student usernames and passwords. That means I had to find a way to change all student passwords in Active Directory to match the new requirements. I was able to put together a sheet that allowed the students to pick a random six-letter word, a three digit combination, and a special character. Putting a sheet like this was important because kindergarten through 5th grade students don't remember passwords very well. I sent the sheets out prior but this is the week I had to sit down and change 1,115 student passwords. Yeah, it has been long days for sure. On top of that I still have to teach 3 classes a day as well as other technology issues that arise. I have had some time though to piece together my face-to-face PD as well as get the word out and secure people to come participate.
